Best foreign Oscar nominee form Denmark about a historical bio pic about an English princess who marries off a Danish monarch and becomes queen. Tormented by an unhappy marriage she meets an unusual gentleman who became a loyal adviser of the mad king, her husband. This is an interesting tale of politics, good and right and forbidden love. It is how good people who might be outwitted by bad and scheming people. Its gripping and its 2 plus hours long in danish. Well made with great production quality, hair, makeup, costumes and set design. The actress, is very beautiful and act well like the new Keira, she looks like Jemima (Jessa) from Girls. She played Princess Kitty in the latest Joe Wright film version of Anna Karenina.

48 Enlightened S02E07 (Feb 17)

No Doubt

So Amy gets the other side of the Abedon CEO story. She gets the chance and conflicted. She meets him and he offers a job she didn't expect to get. A week before the story runs she then gets cold feet and Jeff gets drawn and annoyed by this. He then breaks it off with her and she breaks loose. Gets crazy again. Cannot wait what will happen next. Its a turn.

47.5 Girls S02E07

Video Games

Hanna goes to a somewhere town to visit Jessa estranged dad who lives with her stepmom and stepbrother/ or was he a half brother. Rossanna Arquette and a familiar face guest. He turns out to be a guy from dark Knight Rises and the uncle from Animal Kingdom. His name is Ben mendelsohn apparently and I really thought he was John Hawkes. Was this a sexcapade? Nope said Jessa but Hanna did have sex with the 19 year old step/ half brother who was like geeky cute/ hot. I thought for a while there was this a Sex and the City episode? I had enough of the SATC stand point and the shows it created post SATC. So in the end it had a weird conversation with Hanna calling her mom. I hate her mom. Much more I hate Hanna. And Jessa somehow awolls and leaves Hanna to go back to the city alone.

47 Gayby (Feb 16)

Haven't seen a pink film in a while and this is a breath of fresh air. It was skeptical to see this indie looking film because of the poster and looks boring. Watching it the gay guy and guys are cute actually and the lead actress is fun in a Sarah jessica Parker fee. Its about the usual hag and gay who tries to get pregnant. But it actually shows you how they try over time and not in just one shot scene while they try to be best friends and struggle to be single and do good in work. their friends and family. Its two stages the sex and the injection and the dating a plus. Its actually hilarious, well written script and well acted. Its fun and gaymazing!

46 Paranorman (Feb 15)

One of the Oscar nominated animated film feature. It a stop animation with a sixth sense angle. Its about a boy who can see dead people. He feels strange with this gift and feels alienated from family and in school. He bonds with other outsiders or outcasts to battle an impending attack of the dead by a 300 year old curse. This curse is set on their town by a witch who was killed during the pilgrim and first settlers in their town.

Art wise the film looks good. Its detail is quite nice, fun and creative even the character design and the effects. Its humor not usual and it well made not too look predictable and try to appease the climax by being not too one dimensional with the characters. All is well that ends well.

45 Elementary (Feb 14) S01E17

Possibility Two

Probably the season finale and final case for season one. This case is about genetics or a disease suspiciously given by somebody to appear to be a hereditary disease to a well-off man. I have to see this how it ended since  haven't watched it through.

This also concludes how the Sherlock-Watson setup will carry through season two.

So its about genetics and a gene and some smart geniuses. This is a not so smart episode. It also shows Watson getting into the readings and knowing the ropes of Sherlock's job. So that conludes Elementary Season One. Season 2, I am waiting for Sherlock Season 3!

44.5 Enlightened S02E06

All I Ever Wanted

An episode exploring AMy taking a next step into something new. She finally sees that there is something going on with Jeff - the journalist. Something she did not expect coming. They spend time together more, kiss and sleeps together. As things get closer with this new man and with a surprising approval from her mom Levi comes back. Her ex asks her to give another chance, him, their marriage and having a baby again. She is afraid to turn him down and tired of the old trick with Levi. She is afraid to let him down seeing how new and clear he is from the renewed self he is now from the rahab. Why now after all her beggings in the fast she asks herself. In a moving scene where she comes back home to meet Jeff, walking away from Levi controlling her emotions, her mom immediately senses her distraughtness comes to her aid and tries to be the good mom she can be to Amy and hugs here, gives her the touch and assurance, unwilling and confused but its always a mother's instinct to do so. She then goes to dinner with Jeff then Levi sees them driving away. What will now happen to Levi. I am worried with that last shot, worried and wondering of whta will Levi be, do next.

44 Girls s02e06 (Feb 13)

Boys

This show get into your skin slowly. Its short but every minute of it is worth it. You can tell that the actors are method actors/ They can deliver and it's amazing how the script is written. It is structured in a way that is not predictable. Like turning words like back up, and the subtle meanings. Its worth a second watch and its entertaining. I can say that its well written, naive and quirky script gies this show a punch, a hell of a punch. Also its a lot of fucking words in the show.

So we we see that the characters are not as dumb as they look. Like Ray is such an intellectual loser. Adam is still hung up over Hannah. Booth is just lost and very protective of his insecure self with his work. And that is just the boys. All this delivered in brilliant acting by a cast that is less than mundane but honest, truthful and amazing.

43.5 Once Upon A Time s02e15

Manhattan

This episode tells more of Gold's son. We discover that his son is Harry's father. This is just by fate but by coincidence. Well that is how I understood it. And something about the prophecy of the seer about Harry in Gold's way. So the people out of the curse were Cora, Regina, Gold and Hook but with it broken they can have magic. And the other people who came earlier to the real world were Baelfire, Emma and Pinochio. This episode reminds you a lot of the previous episode and it somehow connected, like Gold's injured leg. Its amazing how they put pieces together and make perfect sense for an intriguing plot. Maybe its time to take notes.

43 Frankenweenie (Feb 12)

Tim Burton's short animated, stop animation take on M. Shelley's life and death science horror classic blown up to a full feature film now nominated for an animation Oscar. Its an animated film in black and white and the charm is just amazing. Burton is an imaginative and creative story teller and the score captures the flow of the story and drama of this childhood tale.

The classic tale names are taken here and a tribute to the author in one of the dead pets of the children, a dead turtle. The details are entertaining and truly a Burton masterpiece and always has that glitch of dark thrill and humor.

As said, well written and remarkably entertaining with great effects, production design and cinematography.

42 Sherlock s02e03 (Feb 11)

The Reichenback Fall

A stirring final full of drama for the show/ telemovie that I am in awe and gasping with admiration. This is a smart show tha tdoesn't fall short of suspense, drama and brain. Sherlock faces the great enmity in Moriarty. But Sherlock never fails to think ahead. Moriarty strikes into decoding and invading 3 most secured places in London. He get arrested and gets acquited. All in the game play that turned the table for Shrlock. But as I said our lead hero is on the side of the angels and is always thinking ahead so is he thinking for a third season yet.

41 Sherlock s0202 (Feb 10)

Hounds of Baskerville

Very mysterious episode set with a gigantic hound in an eerie far away town. Sleuth and fellow is brought to a small town. A hotel or an inn and curious towns folk abound our detective leading up to a secret military base facility set in the quietness of the town. In the end the episode didn't fail to surprise.

40 Sherlock S02e01 (FEB 9)

A Scandal in Belgravia

Sherlock returns in this break from Moriarty but someone under him or something. Its the seecond season and its first episode. Its an interesting made episode, well edited. The Lady or the Woman is Irene Adler. A clever dominatrix who is like he female Sherlock. She hold information that keeps here security and her life. A bit of a love twist in this if it amuses you of this kind.

39 Sherlock s01e03 The Great Game (Feb 8)

This one is one hell of a season finale or a good tele movie episode. It draws you to a series of cases like a game, with a time limit or somebody blows up and it all interconnects. Here Sherlock meets Moriarty and solves mysteries from the swimmer, the absconder to Colombia, the painting to mention a few. Four blips and a photo clue and a call dictated what to say to Sherlock by a victim strapped with bomb. If the murder is not solved then the victim explodes then on to the dance as Moriarty amuses and Sherlock with his trusty Dr. Holmes solving away his weary concocted cases. All in all very unexpected turns.

Full attention to details is required wtaching episode like this, to cherish and savour the twist and the plot s the witty sttory is presented.

38 Sherlock S02E3 The Blind Banker (Feb 7)

I am happy Sherlock is more immense and complex and well thought of than Elementary. Though the two is interchangeably connected the two are of different comparisons. Sherlock is also better rated than Elementary. Though one is not the version or another caption of the other.

Its a mini movie with 3 episodes in one season. Second episode reveals at the end his enemy - Moriarty to be behind the Chinese foot soldier smuggling underworld gang.

Sherlock is presented never in a linear way. Its always unpredictable and very smart keeping you surprised and at the edge of your seat, thinking and amused in its cleverness.

37 Arbitrage (Feb 6)

This film is about a man struggling between business , family, an affair, a tragic death by accident, hiding from the police and putting somebody life on the line for him. Richard Gere turns up as a business man who in in the brink of success trying to keep clean and do what is best for him and his family and his business and for him in the end. Support cast include Susan Sarandon and Tim Roth. This is a tale of suspense, drama and intrigue in the spite of our everyday struggles, being caught on being honest or just being decent and what is right and what is wrong.

36 Enlightened s02e05 (Feb 5)

The Ghost Is Seen - In a world of many people a lot of people feel lonely and most of the time feel invisible like a ghost. Amid all the plans Amy is concocting, fighting off possibility of being caught before achieving her goals, Tyler is revealed in this episode. As a lonely man who happened to meet someone special. He meets the secretary of the big boss who they wanted to bring down and they try to connect to her to get to that. In the end they ended up dating and sleeping together. Tyler finds hope. So in the lines of the plot being purposeful and rational lies the human and gentle core of just being loved and lost, important and nothing.

35.5 Girls S02E01

Girls is another show with 4 women in its main plot. The main character is your smart ass ordinary girl, not so Hollywood but she wrote, created, produced and directed the show. She literally is everything about the show, like literally exposing herself, n all naked glory. But this show is engaging in an indie and artsy feel. And she is just named Hannah.

Season Two starts with her break from her weirdo sex buddy Adam - this is Hannah and her BFF moves out of the apartment. That's the pretty Girl Marnie. Her ex BF who is now gay turns up as her new room mate. The Brit Girl get married while the Lashona or whatever her loser name geek face is get it for real and loses her virginity at last.

Its all kinds of girls, fun, witty and comedic and its HBO pips.

35 Once Upon A Time S02E10-11 (Feb 4)

E10 - The Cricket Game
E11 - The Outsider

This is a recap of the start of OUAT in 2013. The winter break left with Cora on the way to Storybrook with the help of Hook and the magic bean that he got. They are both on the way to find Regina and Gold. Cora frames Regina by killing Dr. Hopper.

Then Hopper is that that dead and finally dies. Gold tries to find his son in the outside world and an outside starts to come in Storybrook. Belle falls across the line and looses her memory of her old self.

34 Being Human UK S01E02 (Feb 3)

I am watching this UK version and its the original of the US version. Its about a werewolf and his roommate who is a vampire who moves in a house inhabited by a ghost. I actually saw the test pilot from the UK. The difference is that they retained just the actor who played the werewolf. The vampire now is a hotter version. The test pilot ghost was funnier than the actress playing the ghost now.

So they move in with the ghost of a girl who accidentally slipped her way down after just moving in with her fiancee. The vampire and the werewolf try to live together and live with their condition. They could see the ghost and she confronts her past when she sees her fiancee visiting their place with his now new girlfriend. Other characters include old vampires and victims who are now ghosts.

33.5 Once Upon A Time S02E13

Tiny is the nickname of the Giant up in the bean stalk. His name is Anton. Giants plant magic beans transporting fairy tale creatures in between worlds from down on Fairy Tale land to up there to Maine and back. Tiny happens to be a comeback character who owns the compass that led Emma and Snow back to Maine and the bean that brought Cora and Hook to Maine too. Now he is in Maine, in travel size and grows back giant size. Gold uses a potion to travel out of Storybrook, Emma and Harry goes with him to find his son. So why was his son able to get out of Storybrook again? I wonder.

33 Girls S02E05 (Feb 2)

This is a brilliant episode that mesmerized me. It felt like a stand alone episode, a single short story of a single day. A whirl of an affair and the enchantments of Hannah. Patrick Wilson the Hollywood gigolo, 42 year old, in a gorgeous Brownstone. It was an adventure too true to believe. It can happen with wit and confidence and its almost like a fairy tale.

One's Man's Trash - yes his trash complaining about how he wanted his trash protected and not abused. the loser boss trashes out and swear and she heads of in her slutty shorts and blouse ends up more than a lemonade. A good bizarre almost vague literary pice of an episode that is like a Kubrick scenario or plot, very surreal and leaves you thinking, full of meaning and hidden messages.

32.5 Elementary S01E16 Details

I think the most boring non-Elementary looking Elementary episode just like it came out of a mill. Detective Bell gets framed an din a series of easy knock-off clues the case is solve. Just a pass on this ordinary episode a not so worthy one.

32 Elementary S01E15 (Feb 1)

A Giant Gun, Filled with Drugs - John Hannah, an English bloke drops in the set. I thought he'd play the brother as he drops in anked in the first scene he appears shocking the wits of Watson. So a kidnapping occurs and drug busts and gangster. Another not so exciting episode which I lost attention to.

31.5 Elementary S01E11 Dirty Laundry

A get back on 2013 premier of this promising show. But sad to say the new episode shown last January 3 is a let down and get down on the show's weaker episode. Not much to say her but a liner and predictable twist and turns. Not a not so amusing spindle of a witty episode for me, the usual cover up, and Russian spies and interconnected crimes with prostitution within a hotel and cover ups.

31 Suits S02E15 Normandy (Jan 31)

Revert close look on the case of blown up 45 cases of gender discrimination cases against one client handled by vexing Daniel Hardman. Rachel gets neutered by anxiety of her sure win Harvard application. Luis turns in a good leaf for her but then fails. And its Katrina versus Rachel-Mike.

30.5 Suits S02E14 He's Back

Zane, like Rachel's big top notch lawyer dad teams up with who else Daniel Hardman. A blown a class suit case of gender discrimination pushing the firm into a crisis.

We have not yet seen the end of Hardman. He is back and wrecking havoc in Pearson Hardman. Daniel Hardman is definitely back and is not resting till he shakes the firm that has his name on their door.

The new character Katrina Benett a BFF's Nicole and Naomi true knock-off is just delicious. I loved you since you danced your red ballet shoes in Centerstage.

15 days off or maybe 17 and trying to catch up with posts. Busy with work gym and job applications and slacking. Pacing up and catching up real quick with TV episodes here and there on the weekened. Hohumm. Can I actually do this? Note to self - yes you can!

30 Glee s04e14 I Do (Jan 30)

End of the episode or I mean first month. Its the  wedding finally of Will Schuster and Emma. She on the other hand is out of herself and not herself or unusually more of herself being distraught about the improper kiss from Finn. Rachel's boyfriend is a trash of a gigolo. Highlight would be an 80's song and Blaine Anderson's Fred Perry white outfit.

29.5 Glee S04E13 Diva

A missed out episode of Glee. I need to reconnect and maybe catch up. Just a note on Madonna's song Hung Up sung by Tina Cohen Chang. Episode ends with Finn kissing Emma in her office. 19 yo ex student posing in for a teaching position for her finacee. WTF Glee?

29 The Sessions (Jan 29)

I actually watched this movie tonight, the evening of February 6, 2013. I have been slacking and been watching TV shows to make up for it.

This is a film unbelievably based on a true story and focused on a disabled man who discovers sex through a sex surrogate. Of course sex sells. They are trying to tell us that courage and will beats all obstacles and anything is possible. Actually this film desexualizes sex and thought provoking in a way how one views sex. But believe me sex her is shed in a better light, one and I for one should hope it should be. It also recollects sexual issues for everyone, single, married and you don't have to be disabled.

Great performance by Helen Hunt and John Hawkes and excellent adaptation to the screen. A real good watch and well-made film about one's man's courage, the defiance of love and the sweetness of just being human, disabled or normal (I don't know if that would even be politically correct).

28 Girls S02E04 (Jan 28)

Nothing familiar nor significant with this episode. Except that Ray as the title suggest Its A Shame About Ray is a loser. The British girl in a highlight scene having dinner with in laws breaks up and starts a divorce. The short as usual episode ends with a nude scene with two girls taking a bath or one girl getting into Hannah's bath and a snot.

28.5 Enlightened S02E04

Follow Me is an episode about networking and how the big people can be rich or insignificant yet makes a bigger impact on the people and places around them. I didn't make much attention to this episode. It is also about Amy's new Twitter account. The journalist also plants a clueless kiss on Amy leaving her nonethelss clueless.

28 Enlightened S02E03 (Jan 28)

Higher Power - This episode starts with a letter from Levi on his first few days in Hawaii doing rehab and self help in a place where Ay did her re-awakening. At first he finds it lame and irritating. He tries to do his best to see his purpose and goal in doing the rehab despite how he cannot stand his peers and mentors there. He blunts as a rude and passive member of the clinic. He then succumbs to a escape with fellow addicts to a nearby hotel, drinks, do drugs and se an din the end he realizes he need to get up and clean his act and returns to  the facility, with a few sprints back to his room, renewed and trying to become better. He may not be same or seeing things as Amy ddi but all is doing well in the end for his rehab there.

27.5 Suits S02E13 Zane Vs Zane

I actually tried to watch this episode over and over again. Its a good watch with an angle focused on Rachel Zane and her dad being a famous and top notch New York lawyer. The plot shows some family and firm issues with Zane and Pearson Hardman dealing with the aftermath of Daniel Hardman leaving the firm. Rachel dad owns a big firm and is a very good lawyer n New York. She tries to prove hersel f and earns her way in a different direction working for Pearson Hardman as the best paralegal in the best firm in New York City.

27 Elementary S01E14 The Deductionist (Jan 27)

Another Elementary episode that promises as a good well made one. This starts with a ruthless serial killer. But how, in Hannibal Lecter's proportions of a criminal can his security be leniently handled so thus breached. Heavy security should have banished the plot of this episode. Anyhow they moved on and had him escape and a sly track down by Sherlock through a radio wave. This one not so similar with how he treated M. Watson gets into the groove into Sherlock's work and stays on as a disguises as still his sober companion after her contract is finished.

26.5 Elementary S01E13 The Red Team

This episode is about the conspiracy theorist murder and tracks back to a government project with members being murdered for the valuable information they had with the project. Interesting episode this one with a good conclusion and traces back with a note on the previous episode. Not much to say but this ups up the pace for a rather slow show come back for 2013.

26 Elementary S01E12 M (Jan 26)

M - Lately this one is an interesting episode from Elementary. They have spinned out boring plots and linear case usually, heading some its episodes to snooze ville. Last episode was a bore. This episode brings in M  for Moriarty... a nemesis worth something for our English sleuth, an old familiar enemy with emotional ties and personal history with Sherlock. Jonny Lee Miller still looked amazing in this role. Something made him look more different and better slimmer in this preppy role. The outfits also still inspire. Vinnie Jones, another English bloke appears as M.

25.5 Glee S04E12

Naked - So instead of selling weed cupcakes Glee kids sell post it calendars for the girls to get some money for their bus to a competition. So bodies and abs galore for this episode. Boy these boys can sing, dance a nd less fat in their bodies. Way to be young and famous in TV America.
